THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE gets ready for Australian Premiere in Melbourne in 2006.

The Melbourne Theatre Company will present the Australian premiere of this Tony Award® winning musical as part of its 2006 season. Performances commence on 14 January - 25 February.

Cast members currently listed are: Natalie Mendoza, Christen O'Leary, Matina Prior and Magda Szubanski

At THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, these young people in the throes of puberty, and their grownup supervisors who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser.
